Call for Posters. May 20 – June 30, 2022
Researchers from any field of study who are interested in new approaches to early medieval contexts in the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula are invited to present poster proposals on the following topics:
1. The end of the Roman city. Process of transitions and transformations towards to Early Medieval cities.
2. Walls and doors. Models and chronologies for the buildings of the “new” walls.
3. Church, baptistery and palatio. New places of power and Christianization.
4. Earth, timber and stones. Architecture, building techniques and formation processes of the archaeological record
5. Productive and consumption patterns. Perspectives from botanical and faunal remains.
6. Material culture analysis. From production to distribution and the problems of analysing local manufactures.
7. Household archaeology. Urban houses in transformation.
8. Cemeteries, graves, and burial practices in the cities.
9. Centre–periphery approach. Commerce and relations within territory and abroad.
The program includes a poster session where authors will briefly present their work. This is an opportunity to show and discuss their research, as well as interact informally with other participants.
Posters may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, or English.
Deadlines:
Deadline for submission of poster proposals: June 30, 2022.

Notification of poster acceptance: July 30, 2022.
Instructions for posters:
Posters should be presented in A1 format (549 mm (width) x 841 mm (length). Moreover, the images must have a minimum resolution of 300 PPP.
